Mayzo provides a broad range of antioxidants from a variety of chemical families having different performance characteristics. The families include:

Phenolic antioxidants
Metal deactivators
Amine antioxidants
Hydroxylamine systems

Modern materials are often complex formulations containing multiple chemistries with different functions. Understanding the impact of these chemistries on oxidative stability, any potential interactions with antioxidants and the desired end performance of the material is critical to formulating a good antioxidant system. Blends of different kinds of antioxidants are often used in order to provide optimal performance.

UV Stabilizers
Mayzo supplies products from three general classes of UV stabilizers:

UV Absorbers (which include benzotriazoles and benzophenones)
HALS (hindered amine light stabilizers)

The selection of the appropriate light stabilization system is dependent on a variety of factors including the material type, end-application, material thickness, environment for use, interactions with other components of the system, and performance and cost expectations. Increasingly a formulated solutions approach is utilized which includes consideration of the product form for ease of addition and safety/hygiene requirements.

UV AbsorbersMayzo provides a variety of UV absorbers, which are useful to protect adhesives, plastics, coatings, and elastomers from the damaging effects of outdoor weathering that result from exposure to ultraviolet light.

As their name implies, these additives function by competitive absorption of damaging UV light.
Combinations of UV absorbers with other kinds of light stabilizers (for example hindered amine light stabilizers, or HALS) are often used in order to attain the best resistance to weathering.
