February 15, 2010 - Florham Park, NJ:  BASF Corporation and Superior Materials, Inc. announce an expansion of Superior's distribution responsibilities.  Effective immediately, Superior's product/territory responsibilities will be as follows:
     o  For plastics industry customers:  Superior Materials is the distributor responsible for sales of BASF pigments, colorants and additives, including legacy Engelhard and legacy Ciba products in the states of NY, NJ and CT.
     o  For coatings, adhesives, sealants, elastomers, inks, and related specialties customers:  Superior Materials is the distributor responsible for sales of BASF pigments and colorants, including legacy Engelhard and legacy Ciba products in the states of NY, NJ, CT, MD, DE, eastern PA and Washington DC.
     o  For all customers:  Superior Materials is the distributor responsible for sales of attapulgite products (Attagel® and related brands) in the states of NY, NJ, CT, MD, DE, PA, VA, WV and Washington DC.
     o  (Responsibilities for kaolin products remain unchanged).

February 2, 2010 - Las Vegas, NV (World of Concrete):  Akzo Nobel awards Superior Materials, Inc. the 2009 Cellulosic Specialties Distributor of the Year award, the second year in a row that Superior has earned the award.

March, 2009 - New York, NY:  BASF and Superior Materials co-sponsor Polytechnic Institute of NYU Concrete Canoe <Alt Link> using MetaMax® concrete additive.  April Update: Team wins regional competition and proceeds to June National competition in Alabama.

February 5, 2009 - Dobbs Ferry, NY:  Akzo Nobel announces Superior Materials, Inc. has earned the 2008 Cellulosic Specialties Distributor of the Year award for outstanding growth in sales.

June 1, 2008 - Florham Park, NJ:  BASF Corp EDN Group awards expanded territorial responsibilities to Superior Materials. Effective immediately, Superior is the responsible distributor for EDN kaolin customers located anywhere in the states of New York, New Jersey and Connecticut.

October 4, 2007 - Toronto, Ontario (ICE):  Superior Materials earns Evonik-Degussa's top distributor award, the "Aerosil Fumed Silica Distributor Award for Outstanding Performance: Excellence in Sales and Service" for 2007.

July 1, 2007 - Garden City, NY: Superior Materials proudly accepts expanded territorial and product line distribution responsibilities for select BASF product lines. The following product lines will be available for shipment from our Port Newark, NJ warehouse to customers in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut:  color pigments, pigment dispersions, dyes, effect pigments, UV stabilizers, attapulgite, mica, and kaolin clay.

  January 1, 2007 - Brewster, NY: Akzo Nobel Cellulosic Specialties announces the appointment of Superior Materials as agent/distributor for Bermocoll and Bermodol thickeners and Lapinus fibers in New York, New Jersey, Eastern Pennsylvania, Delaware and Maryland.

November 2, 2006 - New Orleans, LA (ICE): Degussa Corporation presents Superior Materials with the "Outstanding Specialty Blacks and Matting Agents Distributor Performance Award" for 2006.

November 2, 2006 - New Orleans, LA (ICE):  Degussa Corporation announces that Superior Materials has earned the "Aerosil Fumed Silica Distributor Performance Award for Excellence in Sales," 2005/2006.

November 1, 2006 - New Orleans, LA (ICE):  BASF Catalysts LLC presents Superior Materials with  effect pigments "Distributor of the Year" Award - 2006.  

August 8, 2006 - Atlanta, GA:  Imerys Performance Minerals and Superior Materials are pleased to announce increased account responsibilities for Superior in the Northeastern U.S. for calcium carbonate products.

June 30, 2006 - Garden City, NY:  Superior Materials welcomes JoAnn Veneziano as the newest member of our customer service staff. JoAnn has been involved in customer service for 10 years, most of that time in the chemical industry. She also has extensive experience in accounting and human resources roles.

May 3, 2006 - Pittsburgh, PA and Garden City, NY: Borchers, a business unit of Lanxess Corporation, and Superior Materials, Inc. are excited to announce the appointment of Superior as Borchers' agent covering New York, New Jersey, and the New England states. Borchers manufactures additives for coatings, printing inks, and adhesives.

October 11, 2005 - Louisville, KY:  Superior Materials wins a trifecta as Süd-Chemie, Inc. recognizes our efforts with three awards.  Steve Kafka is presented both the award for Sales Excellence and the Salesman of the Year Award.  The company as a whole receives the award for Outstanding Sales Performance by an Organization for 2005.

September 15, 2005 - Ashland, MA and Garden City, NY:  Schlenk-Both and Superior Materials, Inc. announce the appointment of Superior Materials as representative for Schlenk-Both's Metallic Inks and Bronze and Aluminum Pigments in the Northeastern U.S., (including Delaware, Maryland,  eastern Pennsylvania, NJ and NY), continuing our 20-year tradition of excellence in service to consumers of decorative metallic products.

October 28, 2004 - Chicago, IL  (ICE):  Degussa Corp presents "Outstanding Specialty Blacks and Specialty Precipitated Silicas Distributor Performance Award 2004 / Special Recognition Award" to Pete Zillitto of Superior Materials Inc.
