Superior Materials, Inc. is the BASF pigment, dye and additive distributor for the plastics industry, and the BASF mineral products (kaolin and attapulgite) distributor for all industries in the following regions: New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut for all products, and for Attapulgite products, the entire region from Virginia up through New England, including the state of Pennsylvania. BASF offers a wide range of effect pigments and inorganic and organic performance pigments.

Natural Performance Additives
Attapulgite and kaolin clays have a long history of functional performance in a range of industries.

Attapulgite Clays -- Attagel®, Attaflow®, Attasorb®, Micro-sorb™, Florco™, and Sol-Speedi-Dri™ are some of BASF's brands. These products have many functions, including thickening both water-based and organic systems, suspending fine particles in liquid systems, filtering, and absorbing spilled liquids. Kaolin Clays -- MetaMax® high reactivity metakaolin is a supplementary cementitious material that improves the performance and appearance of portland cement concrete and cement-based products. ASP® hydrous aluminosilicates are used as extenders and additives in the coatings, inks, adhesives, plastics, rubber and paint industries. Satintone® calcined extenders and reinforcements increase performance and reduce costs in a wide range of products in the inks, paints, coatings, rubber and plastics industries. Translink® aluminosilicates are high-performance reinforcing extenders designed to improve performance and strength in a wide range of polymer systems for plastics, rubber, coatings, and sealants.
